The Best Crème Brûlée Recipe

We recently went to our friend’s house for a fancy dinner. It was so much fun! And can you believe it, when it was time for dessert, they pulled out one of my all-time favorites? crème brûlée! This light and delicious dessert isn’t hard to make and it’s a crowd favorite!

Jason’s Crème Brûlée Recipe:

The Best Crème Brûlée Recipe
  • 3 C Heavy Cream

  • 1 ½ tsp of vanilla

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ¾ C sugar

  • 8 Large Egg yolks

Directions: Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a large bowl add egg yolks and sugar. Beat until light. In a saucepan, combine cream and salt and cook over low to medium heat just until hot (just before it boils). Remove from heat and add vanilla. Slowly whisk about 1 cup creme into egg mixture to temper the eggs. Slowly whisk in the remaining creme. Pour into ramekins and place in a baking dish. Fill the baking dish with hot water about halfway up the ramekins careful to not slosh into the creme. Bake in oven until the edges are set and the middle is a little jiggly, about 30-40 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. Place in fridge for at least 4 hours or up to 3 days. When ready to serve, cover with a thin layer of sugar and melt with a torch until the sugar melts and caramelizes. You can also use an oven to broil instead of a torch, but just watch it really close! Don’t burn the sugar! Top with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!

The crème brûlée should come out looking like this. Done around the edges and a little jiggly in the middle!

When you’re ready to serve, sprinkle sugar over the top and use a torch to caramelize! Yum! Just be careful to not burn the sugar. A crunchy top is what we’re going for.

There is nothing like the “tap tap tap” when diving into this dessert! It is so delicious, your only regret is that it’s maybe considered inappropriate to lick the ramekin clean! Haha

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day with your loved ones! Don’t forget to go out and give your flocks some extra love this week too! Mine prefer Happy Tract or Golden Graze! 😊

Until next time,
