No Bake Firecracker Tingalings
Can you believe we’re heading into the 4th of July weekend? I am always in awe of how fast these sweet summer days seem to pass by. Whatever your weekend plans may hold, I have a fun and easy cookie recipe for you to bring along to your gathering! I actually make these “cookies” at Christmas time! When I was mulling over a fun and easy idea for you, I thought it would be pretty simple to transform them into “firecrackers” to celebrate our freedom on the 4th of July too! With a excellent mixture of salty and sweet, these are always a crowd pleaser! No baking and easy clean up with only 3 ingredients are my kind of recipes!

Firecracker Tinalings

Ingredients:

  • 30 oz. white chocolate (I use the Ghirardelli melting wafers)

  • 12 oz. bag of chow mein noodles

  • 16 oz. can of roasted peanuts*

*This recipe contains peanuts. You could easily swap out for another nut if there are known allergies.

Use food coloring and sprinkles if desired!

Instructions:

Melt chocolate over medium low heat or microwave for 30 seconds at a time and stir. Don’t overheat or the chocolate will burn! Pour in your chow mein noodles and peanuts and stir well. Spoon onto parchment or wax paper and sprinkle with your 4th of July sprinkles! In order for me to do red, white, and blue firecracker tingalings, I just simply melted 10oz of chocolate and then colored with food coloring. If you do it this way, you can measure out about 2 cups of chow mein noodles and 1 cup of peanuts. You can make them as large or as small as you would like. I made mine medium/large and it made 3 dozen! Enjoy!

Celebrating our nation’s freedom is something we don’t take for granted around here. What an honor to live in the United States of America! Happy 4th of July to you all!

Unitl next time,
