Sebrights are one of the most stunning breeds of chickens in the world. In the early 1800s in England, Sir John Sebright developed this breed. As it has no large fowl counterpart, the Sebright is a true Bantam. The Sebright has black lacing with either gold or silver base color. They are kept primarily for pleasure and exhibition. Sebrights have un-feathered slate blue legs and feet, and their beaks are a dark horn color.

Mature females lay approximately 100 small cream eggs a year, and mature adults will weigh between 2-2.5 pounds. Chicks are dark brown with lighter feathers around their eyes, neck, and feathers tips.
Silver Sebright
Like their counterpart, the Silver Sebright feathers have black lacing but silver base colored feathers. Mature females lay approximately 100 small cream eggs a year, and the mature adults will weigh 2-2.5 pounds. They do not have broody tendencies. Chicks have a splash pattern in their down feathers and a yellow face.
