Ancona

The Ancona is an old Italian breed known for its ability to lay an abundance of white eggs. This light-weight breed can have either a single or rose comb. Males develop long flowing tail feathers making them especially eye catching. Black plumage with white-tipped feathers, known as mottling gets whiter with each molt. These great foragers have an active temperament and they eat less than larger breeds.
