Melanistic Mutant

These beautiful birds boast a dark teal and iridescent blue plumage. The Melanistic Mutant pheasant is a favorite variety to release. They have an incredible survival and reproduction rate, in the wild. These birds have quickly become a favorite among wildlife hobbyists. They weigh two to three pounds as adults. Females lay 50-60 small brown eggs a year. Chicks are brown and black with markings around their eyes.
