The Rainbow has one of the most unique feather color patterns you will ever see. It has one of every color you can imagine, and no two birds are alike. The best part about this breed is that they make fantastic birds for small backyard flocks, allowing you to butcher them or keep the hens for eggs. Full-grown, they weigh seven to eight pounds, and hens lay approximately 250 medium brown eggs a year. Rainbow chicks come in unique colors just like when they grow up, and most will have striping of some sort on their back.
