Our Sapphire Splash® is a rebel rendition of our Sapphire Gem ®, with a mix of light to medium-dark grey plumage and specks of darker feathering. This Czech breed has excellent performance, just like its Czech cousins. It is both cold and hot weather hardy and is a high performing egg producer making a good choice for any backyard flock. Hens will lay approximately 290 large brown eggs. Mature adults weigh between six to seven pounds. Sapphire Splash® chicks have grey down feathers on their heads and backs and dark grey around their eyes. Their underbellies are dusty yellow, and their legs and beaks are peach. Please note that due to its splash coloring, the colors of the bird will vary.
